Block 1
Cut two strips, 2 & 1/2 x 19.

Sew using a 1/4 seam allowance, then cut four squares, 4 & 1/2 x 4 & 1/2.
After this, lay these four blocks in any way you want.
The finished block would measure 8.

Block 2
Cut two squares in different prints, 5 x 5.
Place the squares right sides together and pin.
After this, sew around the square using a 1/4 seam allowance.

Cut the square from corner to corner, both diagonally, then trim the corners.
Then, trim half square triangles to 3 x 3.
Lay them in pinwheel form, then sew accordingly.
The finished size of the block would be 5.
After this, sew the blocks in rows, then sew the rows together.
The finished block would be 6.
