Take 2 of the squares and fold them in half diagonally.
Take your colored square and put 2 1/2 inch squares on both opposite corners.
Sew on the diagonal line.
Cut the corners from the small squares then press using an iron.
Sew all the way around with a quarter-inch allowance.
Place a ruler diagonally from one corner to another then cut.
Next, cut it diagonally in the other direction.
check that they are 3-inch squares.
Trim off excess then press them open.
You will also use them for the border.
Step 3:
Make 3 by 5 background rectangles.
Step 4:
Sew them together and check that the seams are aligned.
Once done, press the seams.
Make 41 more of this block.
There will be 6 blocks in each row then 7 blocks per column.
Step 5:
Take 2 pieces of the extra 3 square blocks then place the colors together.
Sew them in a long strip, flipping the blocks after each one to make the ribbon border.
