8 & 1/2 x 16 & 1/2 rectangles.

For the other four fat quarters, you will cut 1 pc.

Cutting the fat quarters to make the brick house quilt project

8 & 1/2 x 16 & 1/2 rectangles and 2 pcs.

8 & 1/2 squares.

(Those squares will actually be placed on the outside edges of the quilt).

Sewing the bricks together to form the brick house quilt

verify that you already have a straight edge on the left side.

After this, move over to 17 and cut.

The second row has three of those rectangles and two 8 & 1/2 squares.

Once your rows are completed, you will sew them together to finish your quilt top.

Your completed quilt will measure 64 x 72.
