Easy Chevron Potholders Directions

Step 2:

Start with a 2.5-inch square at the bottom and add a 1.5-inch strip.

After the first strip on the right, add one to the left.

check that to leave enough of the 1.5 strips to cover the bottom.

Repeat the process until you cover the whole towel.

Step 3:

Take your ruler and trim it to a 9-inch square.

Step 4:

Outside binding.

Join two strips to make a long strip and attach it to the back of the potholder.

Turn it over to the backside.

Pivot it and lift the binding making a diagonal fold.

Next, fold it right along the edge of the potholder.

Start sewing at the top of the corner.

Continue the same process until you reach the other end of the binding.

Turn the potholder right side up and fold the edges over the top.

Pin and sew it all the way around.

Now you have your chevron potholder!
