Sew straight with a 14 seam allowance.

Spread it open, then fold it in half with their right sides together, and edges matching.
Pin in place and sew straight, then turn it right side out.

Step 2
Fold the pointed edge halfway down the body, then pin it in place.

Grab an embroidery floss and divide it into 3 strands, then hand stitch the beak.
Insert the cotton filling leaving a few spaces at the bottom for the rice to add some weight.
Lightly pull it leaving only a small opening, then add the rice a little at a time.

Grab a spool of thread, then trace its outline on the cardboard.
Then attach it underneath the pincushion to hide the stitching.
Hot glue the buttons for the eyes.
