After drying, use higher grit sandpaper to smoothen the surface of the MDF.

Make 2 coats at 3 ounces per square foot for the first and second coats.
Mix the epoxy to a 1:1 ratio.
Trowel it using a 1/8 by 1/8 square notch trowel.
Before chopping the surface, pull any loose bristles out of the brush and prime it.
Then chop the surface in a random fashion.
Brush the edges in long horizontal strokes after chopping for an even finish.
Torch to remove any bubbles then let it dry for the final coat.

Sand it again using 220 grit sandpaper and remove the dust.
