Grab the pieces of cut-out fabrics for the ties, then trim off the uneven edges of each strip.

From the side, measure about 16 inches and cut the fabric out setting the smaller piece away.
Sew around each side of the fabric to prevent the edges from fraying.
Repeat the process at the bottom of the apron pocket making sure that the salvaged edges are on top.

Fold the fabric on top over with a 112 inch seam allowance, then press.
Miter each of the corners, then stitch them all into place.
