Prepare all the needed materials.
Segregate the fabrics depending on the color and value, from dark to light.
Sew the main fabric together with the batting.

Flip over the fabric with the batting facing up.
Pick one rectangular fabric strip and place it vertically in the center.
Then, press the fabric strip neatly with an iron.
Cut off the excess strip if necessary.
Place another fabric strip of a lighter value on top of the first strip, right sides facing together.
Flip the 2nd fabric the right way and press it in place.
Repeat the process with the other fabric strips.
Layer the strips as you want by following your creativity.
you’ve got the option to also use smaller scraps of fabric.
When you reach the end of one side, turn the whole fabric around and do the second side.
When done, its time to start quilting.
Use different kinds of rulers to follow through with other quilting techniques.
There is no necessary pattern to be followed as long as you have fun.
Lastly, sew the edge bindings around the whole quit.
