Sometimes I get lazy making everything from scratch, and thankfully this recipe skips on the homemade dough.
Time can be saved by using puff pastries for the outer layer.
Plus, its simple to make the apple turnover mixture filling too.

In a medium pot, melt butter over medium heat.
Add diced apples and cook until soften.
Reduce heat to low and add brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

Continue to simmer until apples are soft and caramelized.
Next, use a rolling pin to roll the thawed puff pastry into a square.
Use a pizza cutter and cut into 4 equal-sized squares.

Place cooled apple mixture over half of each square.
Repeat until finished and cut slits on top of each turnover.
Bake for 20-23 minutes or until brown and puffed.
