Use baking soda
Measure out at least one tablespoon of baking soda into each shoe.
You would need enough baking soda to cover the entire insole of the shoe.
Shake the shoe to distribute the baking soda across the insole.

you’re able to also use baby powder to help if you do not have baking soda.
Once the time is up, dump the baking soda out over the trashcan or the sink.
Repeat this baking soda method once a week if your shoes tend to get smelly often.

Tie the ends off with rubber bands or strings.
This will last a month, so you will have to change out the baking soda in time.

Note: avoid leather shoes because it can cause the leather to become dry or brittle over time.
A dryer sheet left in the shoe can help further freshen it up.
Do not rub the baking soda into the shoe or you may have a hard time getting it out.
Shake and jiggle the shoe to help spread.
