Step 2:
Take two of the strips and the 2-inch square.
Arrange them into a long strip with the 2-inch square in the middle.
Place them right sides together and secure the edges with pins.
Sew them together with a 1/4 inch seam allowance.
Once done, press them using an iron.
Step 3:
Take 2 of the triangles and 1 strip.
Put the strip in between the two triangles.
Place them right sides together and secure the edges with pins.
Sew them together with a 1/4-inch seam allowance.
Once done, do the same with the remaining 2 triangles and 1 strip.
Press them using an iron.
Sew them together with a 1/4-inch seam allowance.
Once done, finger press or use an iron to flatten the seams.
Once done, do the same to the other side.
Step 5:
Trim the block into a 7-inch square using a rotary cutter and ruler.
verify that the small square is in the center.
