Prepare all the ingredients as stated above.
Mix all the ingredients together until evenly incorporated.
Once mixed, shape the mixture into 4-6 hamburger patties, all the same size.

Let the patties cook until browned on both sides.
Once cooked, remove it from the pan and set it aside.
Reserve the pan drippings for the gravy.

In the pan with the drippers, saute the onions and add a tablespoon of water.
Cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat until lightly caramelized.
Pour the prepared mixture into the skillet with the onions and stir constantly.
Stir until the mixture begins to thicken.
Place the hamburger patties in the skillet and flip a few times to coat each side with gravy.
double-check that the patties absorb the gravy on each side.
Add the sliced mushrooms and then reduce the heat to a low simmer.
Cover the pan and let the dish cook for about 20 minutes longer.
ensure to flip them every 5 minutes to keep them well coated.
