I think this is a clever trick to try out at home.

Next, put the potatoes into a pot to cook.
Boil some water in a kettle, and pour it over the potatoes in the pot.
Leave the potatoes to cook.
Then, drain the water and dump it back into the empty pot.
Drain the potatoes over another pot to keep the hot boiling water.
Add the peeled potatoes back into the boiled water to heat them up.
